Happiness is infinitely linked to nature
#ForwardFriday
I find home to myself and my own center, when I am close to nature. It can be a stroll by the water, a walk in the woods, an old and wise plant in a home, or flowers smiling to me from the dinning table. Nature takes many forms in my life - it's also the organic foods that I feed my body, it's skiing down the slopes in Vail, CO feeling the rush and the freedom of play in and with nature, it's winter bathing in the freezing Scandinavian winter waters, it's watching the snowflakes fall on the ground and melt in an instant. The interconnectedness between me and the universal infinite.
It saddens me, and makes me feel alarmed at how we are treating nature - both nature inside ourselves and around us. We cannot continue to live happy lives, unless the planet is in healthy balance. We are interconnected. Let's treat each other and our natural resources gently. Our very own happiness depends on it.
