Women Who Start Up Radio: Female Entrepreneurism

Women Who Start Up Radio: Episode 4
Topic: Finding and Creating Happiness

Refresh Agency & The Passion Institute is at 23:21 minutes in, but I encourage you to listen to the full segment.

Thank you Lizelle and Krista for the work you both do!

I met with Lizelle, founder of Women Who Start Up at the swanky new hot spot at Union Station Denver, The Cooper Lounge mid April, 2015. We have known each other for a long time, but have not seen each other for many years. It was truly wonderful to reconnect and talk big ideas, passion, fear, courage, inspiration, giving back, creating and belonging to a supportive business community - all with our common serial-entrepreneurial focus and lifestyle at the center.

I am thrilled to hear that, though it was not planned that way, Lizelle brought in my work and my two businesses Refresh Agency and The Passion Institute (in early start-up phase) in this episode of Women Who Start Up Radio.  I was inspired by the topics of finding and creating happiness as an entrepreneur, and not least the tougher topics of fear and rejection, so listen in for a refreshingly authentic and down to earth 1 hour Women Who Start Up Radio.

It takes a lot of courage and resiliency to be an entrepreneur!

In pursuit of happiness and fulfillment? Get yourself a dose of imperfection

Today's topic is perfection. Or rather, how imperfection is your path to creativity, innovation, joy, and yes- even to love.

This shame and fear based behavior might be the very pattern, which is sabotaging your intent and dreams to create your passion and purpose-based business (and life). I hope this short inspiration video will awaken desires and courage to try to step out of the comfort-zone of perfection.

In itself, creating these short video inspirations is for me a way to get out of my own perfectionism. It has been quite freeing to say the least and on purpose I am wearing bright orange lip stick today, I film at various locations and backgrounds, play around with varying clothing, make-up & hair styles, because I want to create a free room for creativity, expression, teachings and fun for myself - outside of any box of expectations - and an open place of support, acceptance and growth for you.

Though the video process has a clear intent for me, I want to share with you that it still does brings out feelings of fear in me to create imperfect, unedited, made-from-my-own-computer videos and launch them into a world wide cyber space. I know that the more I can simple allow and be with the feelings of fear, as well as the inspiration and excitement I am also feeling, the more I am freeing myself from a need for perfect. Yay!

'Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.' - Nelson Mandela

What is one concrete action step you can take this week, to allow room for more imperfection into your life?

I would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on this topic. Feel free to share your action steps in the comment field below, so we can all cheer each other on in creating a bigger and bolder life.

I wish you a wonderful Monday.
