Collecting Ganesha

I find Ganesha fascinating. What a beautiful, mysterious and visually playful deity. During my last visit to Venice Beach, US, I found a perfect Ganesha brass statue. Today, he is placed in my bedroom window sill, facing me during my night's sleep as I release and let go into my dreamworld. I am not particularly superstitious, but this Ganesha appeared in my life just at the perfect time, as a major obstacle to my path was exposed. Brought to the surface, it was quickly dealt with and removed.

Ganesha is known as the Remover of Obstacles, and as the Lord of Beginnings. Without getting into all the details here, you can read more.

The elephant head deity in my life brings a smile to my face. And I just love knowing that when I look at him, I remember he removes the obstacles in my life. Truth or superstition? That part really doesn't matter - because in my mind and heart he does, and thus, I will.

Our minds are powerful tools. Enjoy.
